Good morning and good day! If you're here for the UNITY HIP HOP - WELCOME!
I have something special for you today!
A Giveaway - This Bicycle Flower (about 7 inches)....
I just love how this project turned out, but I do have a problem! I really don't know what to do with it! It is a HUGE brooch? Is it a gift topper? Is it a clip to dress up a purse?
So here is the deal.....you tell me what you would do with it, and from those comments, I will pick a winner on Friday!
Here is the stamp set I used LOVE LIFE by Melody Ross. I stamped this cute bicycle with a basket and flowers onto some canvas that has been spritzed with Shimmerz mists. This flower was kind of an accident. I was planning on a layout, and using some canvas. I stamped the bicycle on a strip and tried to bunch it up. Then I noticed how cute just the tires looked when they were all ruffled. Then I saw that GIANT Prima flower sitting on my shelf, waiting for the perfect lumpy project and it all came together. I matched up some May Arts ribbon and got out the sewing machine and the rest was history.
If you don't win and want to make one, here are the instructions...just click on the images to see larger images and to see the directions.
I even finished off the back for you with a piece of fabric that was die cut with a circle die cut from Spellbinders.

I would use this flower as a jar topper that stores all my handmade flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat flower rocks, and you know I'm a flower NUT. I'd use it to replace a circle accent coming out from a paper layer on a scrap page on a boy page as not to look like a flower.

ReplyDeleteI love this flower. It's gorgeous! I have an altered box that I'm making. I would use it on the top of that. it would be spectacular. However... I'm making an altered canvas for my livingroom, and it is yelling at me that I have to consider it, for this flower. Boy. gorgeous. Thanks for the opportunity.

ReplyDeleteso beautiful, lesley! thanks for the great give away chance:)
ReplyDeleteOh my ... I would put it on my bag. So cute! Pick me!!

ReplyDeleteI think this fabulous flower would look FANTASTIC sewn onto my plain knitted hat! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your hip hop card. So simple and stunning. That flower is fantastic. I would hot glue it to a skinny headband and wear it with style!
ReplyDeleteI have the flower/headband project on my really long to do list. If I had the flower, it would save me a whole step...and that one is just so much fun!
This is adorable Lesley!! I would love to use one like that on an elastic for my DD's hair! She would love that!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects!
Your flower would be a great accent in someones hair, attached to a purse or wallet, have a grouping of them in a container placed as a focal point on a table. Possibilities r endless. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI think your flower is so cute! I hadn't seen one made as you have this one and with the stamping onto the fabric - great idea. I would love to win it and I would wear it in the summer to dress up a t-shirt.
ReplyDeleteI love the flower and the card! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower! I think I would clip it on a hat! It would look great on a summer straw hat and easily transition to a winter type hat.

LOVE that flower. OK-here's what I would LOVE to use it for: I used an antique printer's tray to create a hanging for my bedroom. I am always looking for new "gems" to add to the tray. It's an ongoing work of art! I would be so thankful to win it!
ReplyDeleteI just love Melody Ross!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be so so cute attached to a hair tie, then you could use it to sinch up a t-shirt on the side with some jeans. So Cute!
