Welcome to this stop on the UNITY HIP HOP for May 19, 2011.
First of all, I have to share with you some stamps that I designed for Unity, released yesterday! I hope this is the beginning to many more stamps from me. All I hope is that you stampers can use them and create beautiful projects. This truly brings me joy to see how people use stamps in so many creative ways.
And for the hop, I cracked open my May Kit of the Month for this layout and stumbled upon this photo of my husband with his father. These two men look so much alike, it's CRAZY! Especially when we look back at pictures of Mark's Dad when he was in his thirties. The only difference, is that his Dad is a wee bit taller and lost his hair before 40. Mark is doing well in this regard I am happy to report.
I love it when the Kit of the Month has some quotes I can use in my scrapbooking, and each kit usually does. With father's day coming up, Unity gave you some father's day stamps early in the May kit!

I love cutting up die cut papers. This background paper is Bo Bunny, chopped up into 4 pieces and reconfigured to get what you see. The cardstock is Core'dinations.
That arrow stamp is from a Unity scrapbook kit (Explore Today and Every Day), and it's propped up on 3D foam. I used it because I thought it had a country feel to match the hats. My 2 labels are made with Spellbinders die templates (Labels One, Curved Rectangles). I used the Spellbinders as a stencil with Distress Ink, it acts like a mat after you ink it! (see the white border). It's a great way to save paper without adding a mat.
Supplies:
Unity Stamps (May Kit of the Month, Explore Today and Everyday)
Spellbinders Die Templates (Labels One, Curved Rectangles)
Glue Arts Glue Glider MAX
Shimmerz Paints (Lime in da Coconut Coloringz, Eucalyptus Spritz, Jeni B Bleu Vibez, Sea Foam Spritz)
Bazzil Cardstock
Distress Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Broken China)
Memento Ink
Bo Bunny Papers
UCutIt Foam by Glue Arts
My Little Shoebox Letters
