Happy Canada Day!

Pictures from Uncle Bill's on Rice Lake. It was so cold and we were not dressed warm enough! I went on the tube behind the speed boat. I now need to see my chiropractor! I'm getting too old for such water sports.

Me and my sister Julie.

My father and Sophie.

Finalist's Round at ScrapLovers

Well, I am so excited to have made it through six weeks of "So You Think You Can Scrap" Contest at http://www.scraplovers.com/. Seven talented scrappers made it to the final round. After much reflection, here is what I came up with:

MY - One Little Word

Well, I actually tried some self reflection with this page and this is where I ended up. This has been my biggest downfall. I sometimes act like a child and have to remind myself that I am a thirty year old woman! Change is so hard, it is always easy to revert back to old habits. As I worked on this page, I recognized several areas where I need to grow. This page was created for a challenge posted by One Little Word blog. Check it out!

Brittany Graduates!

Well....another degree granted, this one is for my sister. She just had her graduation ceremony today at Brock University. I was working on this layout for the past couple days for ScrapLovers So You Think You Can Scrap contest, Round #6. Have a great sunny day!

Lovely Card

I made this card for Caardvarks blog challenge to mix 3 different paper companies on one card. I chose Chatterbox, Crate Paper, Prima, and We R Memory Keepers to make this vintage looking card. I loved this feather ribbon I picked up on sale at Michaels for next to nothing. Throughout the year I have thown it on paper bag albums, layouts, and cards. Pretty much everything vintage. I also used Vellum, and Making Memories ink (the one that came with their distressing kit).

MAC - May Scraptivity Kit

I have finally cracked open my Scraptivity Kit from May. This is one of my pages. I have had this picture for about 1 year and finally got around to scrapping it. This is my son's best friend. I am actually kind of tired of scrapping my immediate family. I need to branch out. I think my next project will be scrapping an object. Check out this layout of a vintage tea set. I thought it was extremely effective. Off to bed. Good night.

Happy Together

I am totally into making cards. They are great to use scraps of paper, ribbon, rub-ons, and brads. And with the computer, you can print out any sentiment that you want. You don't necessarily need that perfect stamp. For this card, I used Junkitz rub-on "happy", Crate Paper, Stampington Pear Stamp (on shrink art paper), making memories bards, and Stampin Up flower stamp (it's hiding). I also used an Autumn Leaves, flourish stamp, and some ribbon I picked up on Ebay.

Caardvarks Felt Card Challenge

I loved making this card and I happened to have some self-sticking felt from my Scraptivity April kit. So, I made my own tree and used up a mix-match of brads. I made a swing with the felt and wire and used my new Fancy Pants stamps (hi). Love those stamps. The dog and bird are Gel-a-tins. Check out this blog...http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/.
