Just Hear Those Sleigh Bells Jingling... Hip Hop!

Good morning and good day!  If you're here for the UNITY and IPPITY HIP HOP  - WELCOME!

TODAY's THEME:
CHRISTMAS CARDS & LAYOUTS

Can you believe that it's December already?  It was lovely and snowing yesterday, not too cold, just right!  Only 23 more days until Christmas and you know what I have to do before then?

COOKIES!  Can you smell the vanilla?

I love the big round stamp that says 100% Certified Homemade.  I stamped it several times in red, and then in green.  I stamped one circle on PHOTO PAPER to get a nice clean image, then used my Spellbinders to cut it out, then placed it over the main image.

Again, stamping on photo paper, I stamped HOLIDAY MEMORIES in red, cut out, then placed on the layout.

I had lots of leftovers from my Up the Street kit, that I was able to make this cute tag to go along with my layout, and I was able to use the Webster's Pages letters from the kit as well to make my HOME BAKED title.

In case you want these stamp sets, below are the complete sets and the link to Unity's store.

Before I started designing with Unity, these stamps were on my list!  A must have for any BAKER who gived their treats out at Christmas.  I just find these so classy and versatile.

Up the Street December Kits are AVAILABLE NOW!

$54.50

Below are some  projects made with the MAIN kit and the Add-on Kit.

I have had a wonderful time recalling last year's memories of Christmas when putting together layouts for this kit release.

I found the BEST etsy.com gift for my husband last year, a Bruce Springsteen mug and he loved it!  I actually just handed him a cup of coffee on Christmas morning in his new mug and it took him FOREVER to notice it!

I used the kit's embossing powder to make the swirls (using a stamp from Unity Stamp Co.), and then applied some red stickles.

My Top 5 FAVOURITE Things in This Kit:
  • Those BIG PRIMA FLOWERS
  • Webster's Pages Trims
  • Webster's Pages Letter Stickers
  • The STAR pins
  • Bo Bunny Chipboard Pieces

Here is my sweet daughter a couple years back.  I thought this was a perfect Dear Santa face.  I used the Basic Grey presents to line the photo and I also used some of that gorgeous butter cream trim!

On the very right, I embossed some green cardstock and painted the raised parts with cream paint.

And there is an awesome stamp that comes in the kit from Inkadinkado - PERFECT for present toppers!  I stamped them on cream cardstock, trimmed them, then inked around the edge with Old Paper Distress Ink.  I coloured the image with Copics and used U-Cut-It foam from Glue Arts to give it 3D dimension.

I cut out some small circles with the U-Cut-It foam (using my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders) to make the Present Toppers ready to go for Christmas presents.

I STILL HAVE MORE TO SHOW YOU!  The kit is SO big that so far, I've made 5 layouts and the present toppers!  And I still plan on making more!

Hip Hop Wednesday? Bella Blvd? It's True!

Good morning and good day!  If you're here for the UNITY  BAG IT AND TAG IT  Hip Hop- WELCOME!  Because Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday, we've switched Hip Hop day to TODAY!

Have you heard?  About the newest company that Unity has partnered with?  Wohoo!
BELLA BLVD!  All the new stamps are up on the site - you can see them here!

SO, in honour of this new release, I have used the BELLA DOILIES on my HUGE 12x6 envelope.

I created this big envelope as a gift wrap for some jewelry that I made.  The paper was so beautiful, I couldn't cut it - I simply folded it in half, glued the side with my Glue Glider, and left the top open.  This piece of jewelry happens to match this paper beautifully and the doily stamps, stamped in a light colored pink ink are PERFECT!

Look at how awesome these doilies look!  SO dainty in soft pink. SO shabby chic.  I used brads from MME in the center of each.

I used one of the doilies on the tag as well.

Here is a close up of the back (bottom).

Other Unity Stamps used on this project include UNDENIABLY YOU:

I made a tag for the necklace, and will have it peeking out of the envelope.

In case you missed it, here is a look at the NOVEMBER Kit of the Month  "Picture Perfect" by UNITY:

YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT A SALE:
Unity will be donating $.50 cents of each sale to Unity's LOCAL FOODSHELF during the sale in response to being grateful for all they have given, and in recognition of how much need there is in their communities.  Thanks Angela and Chris for being SO thoughtful!

Now it's time to hop on over to Jessica's blog to see what beautiful project she has craeted for you...

UNITY HAS THE BEST FRIENDS!

Unity has teamed up with some of the best in the BIZ to bring you AWESOME stamp designs.  Have you been wanting to get your hands on them?  I know I have!  I am seriously loving the new Webster's Pages stamps, and I, like you, will have to wait a wee bit to get them - AS THEY ARE BRAND SPANKING NEW - and are being manufactured as we speak - and in time for Christmas!

All of these stamps are available on the Unity web-site for purchase.  See Unity's blog for more info related to the co-branded stamps.

Here is a spectacular list of Unity's co-branded lines:

*The link takes you to the Unity homepage, where all the co-branded stamp icons are - click on those to see all the stampy goodness!

Below are some of the projects I've made with some of these stamps.
