Dahlia Bowls
When I first saw the new Grand Dahlia die templates from Spellbinders, I knew that they could be used in so many different ways, especially for home décor projects. So far, I've been able to make large hanging ornaments, a decorative pillow, and now these cute Dahlia Bowls made from glue, water, felt, and paper. The Grand Dahlias are in the line of Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities® dies.

Supplies:
Anna Griffin Patterned Paper (Carmen Collection - Green Quatrefoil)
Beacon Adhesives (Fabri-Tac Adhesive)
Felt (Pink, Blue, Red)
Elmer's Glue All (Liquid Glue)
Water
Pop Can
Ribbon or Elastic
ORANGE
12 x 12 Layout
My next project is a layout, where I cut all the die templates at once, then inverted every second cut to take advantage of the double-sided paper, and to create a funky Grand Dahlia. I only made one, and decided to cut it into two pieces, so that it covered each side of the layout.

Great projects, Lesley. Thanks for introducing these new dies.
I enjoyed your projects. The scrapbook page is adorable.
This reminds me of some Barbie-sized Easter Bonnets I made using this technique with cotton fabric, a plastic mold, and circles cut with pinking shears. The dies certainly make this much faster. Love the polka dots, too!
