I Wonder Album....

This week on the Glue Arts Blog, we are making albums from Unibind and using their PhotoBook Creator binding machine!  The albums are perfectly nice on their own, but we have dressed them up using our favourite adhesives from Glue Arts!  Unibind also has some software and photo paper that comes with the machine, so you can print your own pages.

I used my Glue Arts Glue Gun and Glue Sticks to adhere all the lovely flowers onto the album cover.

If you're curious to see how I painted the cover....head on over to the

Take care!

Hip Hop with Unity Stamp Co.

Welcome to this stop on the UNITY HIP HOP for May 19, 2011.

First of all, I have to share with you some stamps that I designed for Unity, released yesterday!  I hope this is the beginning to many more stamps from me.  All I hope is that you stampers can use them and create beautiful projects.  This truly brings me joy to see how people use stamps in so many creative ways.

And for the hop, I cracked open my May Kit of the Month for this layout and stumbled upon this photo of my husband with his father.  These two men look so much alike, it's CRAZY!  Especially when we look back at pictures of Mark's Dad when he was in his thirties.  The only difference, is that his Dad is a wee bit taller and lost his hair before 40.  Mark is doing well in this regard I am happy to report.

I love it when the Kit of the Month has some quotes I can use in my scrapbooking, and each kit usually does.  With father's day coming up, Unity gave you some father's day stamps early in the May kit!

"LOOK ALIKE"

I love cutting up die cut papers.  This background paper is Bo Bunny, chopped up into 4 pieces and reconfigured to get what you see.  The cardstock is Core'dinations.

That arrow stamp is from a Unity scrapbook kit (Explore Today and Every Day), and it's propped up on 3D foam.  I used it because I thought it had a country feel to match the hats.  My 2 labels are made with Spellbinders die templates (Labels One, Curved Rectangles).  I used the Spellbinders as a stencil with Distress Ink, it acts like a mat after you ink it!  (see the white border). It's a great way to save paper without adding a mat.

Supplies:
Unity Stamps (May Kit of the Month, Explore Today and Everyday)
Spellbinders Die Templates (Labels One, Curved Rectangles)
Glue Arts Glue Glider MAX
Shimmerz Paints (Lime in da Coconut Coloringz, Eucalyptus Spritz, Jeni B Bleu Vibez, Sea Foam Spritz)
Bazzil Cardstock
Distress Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Broken China)
Memento Ink
Bo Bunny Papers
UCutIt Foam by Glue Arts
My Little Shoebox Letters

National Scrapbooking Day with Unity!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Who knew there would be so many of us that we would eventually get our own day!

I thought this idea was amazing when I heard it, and here is the idea....

That all the design team members on the Unity Stamp Co. design team would each make an 8x8 scrapbook page that has our favorite recipe on it.  Angela would collect them all and then offer it up to one lucky winner.  See the Unity BLOG for all the detals on how to win and to check out more info about how we are celebrating NSD.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we had fun creating our pages for you.

We've been sharing them with each other as we've made them and the girls have gone all out.  I am so impressed with each page and recipe and will be SO VERY jealous of the one person who gets the recipe album.

Here is my page and I swear by this recipe!

Enjoy this special day!

Love Eachother Hip Hop!

Welcome to this stop on the UNITY HIP HOP for May 5, 2011.

It's been a busy couple of weeks, just recently we were looking at houses to buy, but nothing has been right for us, so I'll take a back seat for now and concentrate on being grateful for what I have.  These two kids!

They are happily playing together in the backyard as I write this, getting along and loving each other's company.  It's more than I can ask for.  Don't get me wrong, they fight.  A LOT.  But I know deep down, they do love each other.

For this layout, I dressed up the background using Bella Doilies, trying to color match the paper with the inks I have in stock.  I also used Key to Joy for the quote and key theme.  When it was all done, I felt it needed more color, SO I added the blue felt key, die cut with a Spellbinders die template.

Glue Arts Products for Hair Accessories

Mother's Day is coming up fast!  I wonder if my husband has anything planned.  We'll find out soon enough.  ;)

This week on the Glue Arts Blog, we are making gifts for our Mom's or special friends.  For my Mother, I made her a flower for her hair.  She loves going to dances and dressing up, so we went together to the fabric store and she found this lovely fabric.  I had the feathers from a while back when I placed an order with Fire Mountain Gems.

I used my Glue Arts Glue Gun and Glue Sticks to make sure all the petals and feathers stuck together.
They are having an AWESOME giveaway over there too!
