Today is the DAY!!! The Rummage Bin is Released!

Well, this is four months of work coming to fruition. I hope you all enjoy the new releases at Cornish Heritage Farms and that you comment here for a chance to win this set! I will pick a random winner this evening (Thursday January 24th!).

To see the other 9 stamp sets and the gallery filled with samples, please visit CHF. Just know, that I had so much fun designing these sets, and I tried to ensure that there were many possibilities for combining and layering the stamps. And since I'm Canadian, I couldn't resist The Great Canadian Stamp Set! All that's missing is Tim!

Thanks for visiting. Lesley.

Scraptivity's January 2008 Kit!

Oh this kit rocks! Take a look at a few things I came up with. The technique this month is crackle paint. What we learned, was that it does not work on acrylic (it flakes off) and shiney chipboard. If you sand items, it might work better. Also the watch pieces you will get, some have little pieces that will pierce the paper and then cannot bend. I banged mine of with a hammer, or you can stick them down with pop dots.
If you don't know already, Scraptivity Kits come with paper, stamps, embellishments, a technique, and other goodies. With January 2008, you also get 2 acrylic album pieces. I had to drill through mine, but apparently, the crop-a-dile works too. Click on the title to be taken to the kit.

Playing with my NEW CHF STamps

Oh this new Grid paper backgrounder has knocked my socks off!!! I love it so much, I have been stamping like a mad woman. It looks great stamped on a transparency with Staz-on, and then placed over top a patterned piece of paper. I also got a new ledger paper backgrounder stamp which I have just cracked open. I'll have to create some layouts with that one!

CHF is known for their Thomas Kinkade stamps and the last card is my first attempt at working with one. Geesh - I do like the way it turned out, and I am amazed that I did that (not too bad for an amateur :).

Anyway, happy holidays and thanks for stopping by!

Scraptivity's December Kit!

Here are 2 layouts that I completed with the kit. The technique was working with We R Memory Keepers foil, glitter, and flocking kit, and it was a lot of fun to work with. The papers are a combination of Fancy Pants and Scrapmode, and cardstock. For a complete list of kit contents, please click on the title above. Thanks for looking!

CHF and Caardvarks

Wow - December is kicking off quite a few challenges and celebrations. There are 2 I have to tell you about.

One: CHF is having a celebration today for Lisa Strahl as she just created and released 16 new backgrounders for CHF. They are amazing and have so many uses! Today only (December 1st), there will be a challenge issued every hour starting at 10AM. There are give aways and prizes too! http://forums.cornishheritagefarms.com/viewforum.php?f=35

From CHF Newsletter:
Now if you have not been to Lisa's blog this week then PLEASE head over there after reading this. http://monalisamoments.typepad.com/mona_lisa_moments/Lisa gave herself the challenge of creating 30 new projects for her birthday & what a feast for the eyes they are. You will not believe what she has created with these new backgrounders. Just incredible! The backgrounders can all be seen in the NEW PRODUCTS section of the store - http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/products_new.php

Two: Exciting news from Caardvarks. We have teamed up with PageMaps to create cards for 7 days, starting today (December 1st).

"What's CardMaps you ask? If you aren't familiar with Becky Fleck and her PageMaps site, you soon will be! Her layout, card, and tag sketches are genious. Becky has revealed her brand new December card sketches (CardMaps) and allowed us to feature our favorite seven sketches this week! Of course you'll find even more on her site. If you're looking for some card inspiration, PageMaps is the place to go."

Scraptivity's November Kit!

This kit has the richest colours in it. I just love this Pine Cone Press paper, for its canvas look and feel. This paper is so thick! Stamps work really well on the paper as well. This layout is of my daughter, and I used a Billy Joel song to match the picture.

Stamps: Tin Box and Cornish Heritage Farms
Kit: Scraptivity

My New CHF Stamps!

Look at these cute stamps! The first one is called Skating Penguin. I am planning on duplicating this card to make gift tags this year. I used markers and ink, and Staz-on for this one. Cardstock is Prism.

The second card was made with 4 different papers, Prism Cardstock and Kim Hugh's/CHF stamp set called Let's Get Stuffed. The apple and sentiment stamp is all I need to convey a happy harvest!
