Good SATURDAY morning! If you're a card maker, you probably know that today is the day that we celebrate WORLD CARD MAKING DAY! And we girls at UNITY and IPPITY have come up with a TON of challenges for you so that you can win some Unity and Ippity stamps!
You can find all the challenges on the Unity Blog, and over at Unity's forum at Splitcoast Stampers.
My challenge is to use your Unity or Ippity stamps to make a shaker card, any size, any topic, filled with anything your heart desires. The reason I chose this challenge is because I actually wanted to challenge myself too! I have never made one, and always wanted to. I used Unity's elephant from "Could I Be Any Cuter" stamp set.
If you play along with my SHAKER CARD challenge, you have a chance to win a Unity Itty Bitty! Just upload your card to Splitcoast Stampers gallery and use the code USCWCMD02. You have until October 16, 2010 to upload to the Splitcoast gallery. Winners will be announced on our Hip Hop Blog Hop on October 21, 2010.
For those who play along with ALL challenges INDIVIDUALLY- they will be entered into a draw to win a GRAND PRIZE of Unity's Kit of the Month FREE FOR A YEAR!
Without further ado....here is my card for the challenge.
I printed the sentiment and used micro beads from Martha Stewart. The ribbon is from May Arts and to make the shaker card, I die cut some adhesive foam from Glue Arts using my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder Nestabilities. It was PERFECT and SO simple to make a shaker card. I hope the picture can show you how easy it was!
I thought I would show you my NEW vintage garden frog. I have seen so many people use these to display cards and I have wanted one for a very long time. I visited a local antique shop, and there it was, waiting for me!
AND FOR SOME exciting news for me....I made the SHIMMERZ education team, and get to work with a bunch of crazy talented ladies, creating videos for you! They have a VLOG (a video blog) to educate about their awesome spritz and paints, and shimmering loveliness! It really is an AMAZING concept and there are already so many amazing HOW TO videos on there.
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!
